Dear
Dad,
In
the loneliest of places You are with us. I hate the way the world teaches us
about marriage, family, and values. With this crazed epidemic of useless
reality shows, people who feel qualified to tell others about family &
marriage (given their individual warped experiences outside of You), and a buffet style
take on life, we have gotten it all twisted. The crazy part is the level of
influence that everything outside of YOU can have on believers given the right
set of circumstances. I guess since we live in a society that promotes zero
restraints, we take out of life all the things we like, and get rid of the
stuff that requires something of us. All in all we live life with no regard or concern
for You. I am so guilty of being influenced both mentally and physically by the
popularity of so many activities and mindsets that receives ZERO validation
from You. I can also admit to basing many of my decisions off what supposedly worked for
someone else, when I know I had no business in that mess in the first place. You
Speak…….. so anyone who claims to not hear You ain’t listening. I can only
imagine Your heart right now, and how guilty we are for adding to its hurt.
Forgive us…… I vow to make every effort imaginable to fully take heed and live
my life PLEASING YOUR HEART.
Forgive
us
Word on The Go: Romans 1:
18-23
But God's angry
displeasure erupts as acts of human mistrust and wrongdoing and lying
accumulate, as people try to put a shroud over truth. But the basic reality of God is
plain enough. Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful
look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see:
eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has
a good excuse. What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well,
but when they didn't treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they
trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion so that there was neither
sense nor direction left in their lives. They pretended to know it all, but
were illiterate regarding life. They traded the glory of God who holds the
whole world in his hands for cheap
figurines you can buy at any roadside stand.
